Jamu is part of Indonesia’s herbal tradition. Many people know it as a drink made with plant ingredients, including roots and spices. The tradition is broader than a single drink or recipe.
UNESCO inscribed Indonesia’s jamu wellness culture on its Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2023. This recognises the culture, not a certification of Pandawa products.

Jamu gendong and bottled jamu
Jamu gendong refers to the tradition of vendors carrying jamu on their backs. Bottled jamu describes its presentation, rather than a particular recipe. Pandawa offers 500 ml bottled drinks; this page does not offer a jamu gendong service.
